Happy Samhain (also called Haloween)
Wishing everyone a truly divinely inspired and joyful Samhain (pronounced Sow-in), a magical time of year that was traditionally used for ceremony and connection to the Spirit World because the veils are the thinnest between the physical world and the world of Spirit.
Originally (according to Bashar channelled by Darryl Anka bashar.org) this time of year is the anniversary of the destruction of Atlantis. Halloween October 31st was the day before the destruction of Atlantis, All Souls Day the 1st November is the day of the destruction, and All Saints Day 2nd November is the day after the destruction of Atlantis. This is the original reason for these holy days that has been forgotten.
This day (November 1st) was celebrated by the celtic people where it marked the end of harvest and the end of the Celtic Year and the New Year. This time was also associated with death and the beginning of winter where they would build fires and give offerings to the spirits. This is also true in other parts of the world such as an honouring of the dead through the Mexican Day of the Dead which is a celebration and again with offerings to the Spirit world as they remember the ones that passed.
As the veils are the thinnest at this time, the spirits can visit us and sometimes come to bless us and other times they come for help. When a spirit is ascended it is in the 5th dimension and above i.e. at one with God/Goddess/Source i.e. a part of love, it is at peace and can give guidance through your Higher Self or I AM Presence. Although when a spirit is in a lower dimension, they are not at one with Source, they are earth bound or un-ascended spirits and cannot see clearly or give guidance and may need help to cross back to their proper place in the Universe. This is also why it is really important to continue on your own ascension journey and be discerning where your guidance is coming from as when you are clear divine guidance opens your heart and you will feel it.
Some times when someone dies and is not ready to go, they can hang on for a time as they left when they were not ready or they have “unfinished business”, which can be attachment to land, a person, a place, things that they wanted to resolve but never did for example. These spirits often need help to move on, there is nothing to be afraid of as if you do feel them sometimes the fear you are feeling is theirs as they are the ones afraid to move on. This is why it is also do wonderful to do some prayers for them at this time of year. Children sometimes will see or feel things at this time of year, it is important not so shut their gifts off i.e. by telling them there is nothing there and its just their imagination as especially in this time of ascension they need to learn what is spiritual guidance coming through and their intuition and what is their imagination rather than shutting it off early and encouraging them not to feel, many children spirits will only come to children and just need a simple spirit release prayer like the one below to help lift any energy. Although on saying that, there is real balance with this whole situation, as they are also our teachers and we need them to be grounded as we hold space for them while allowing them to open up to the Spirit world exactly as each individual child is meant to.
In some parts of the world such as the Azores white flowers use to be given at this time of year with prayers for the Ancestors. This is a beautiful idea as white can also be the colour of the Divine Mother and of purity and innocence. You can also use other flowers and other things you wish to offer to your Ancestors such as whiskey in Eire or other local things that your Ancestors would have liked.
So wishing you all a wonderful Samhain where you can honour the Ancestors and say a prayer for any being that has not crossed back to heaven. Here are some ideas:
Some things you can do this Samhain that are related to the original celtic tradition:
· Built an altar with loving intent and gratitude to invite the Divine Guides in: you can use the following: a candle for fire, a rock for Earth, water and a feather for air on a cloth. Sometimes they include autumn vegetables and other things from nature you find (just remember to offer a little bit of tobacco or something if you take things from nature as this way you are giving respect and thanking the nature spirits). You can then call on your Ancestors in Heaven of your mother, father and soul line to help release any Ancestors that need help to cross over back to Heaven. This is a very basic form of Spirit release.
Here are some words you can say “I call upon my Ancestors of my mother, my father and my soul line those that are in heaven and fully ascended at one with Source to come in and help release any Ancestors or spirits back to their proper place in the Universe with Divine Timing and Divine Grace… then wait a few minutes and thank them”. You can also say the Ho’oponopono prayer to help release any in the “we” form such as “We are sorry, please forgive us, we forgive you, we love you, we thank you and we release you now back to your proper place in the Universe” say 3 times with feeling. If you get very emotional it is ancestral emotions you have been carrying and its time to let them go. If you do this and you want to ask a question feel welcome to contact us through the website. Well done! Close the altar cloth by folding it and thanking the spirit helpers.
· Same as above or in your own way you can do a ceremony or a prayer to ask that all roots from Atlantis and its destruction that are not serving the collective and the individual I Am Presence are removed and healed completely through all time and space.
· Offer a spirit plate to your Ancestors as you have a celebratory dinner with your family and friends where you can spend time in circle telling stories about your own ancestors to honour and remember them. In some parts of the world they offer special breads to the Ancestors although what ever comes to you intuitively will work. The most important thing is that it is given with love and honour.
· Dance in celebration of life and your Ancestors around a fire.
· Make a face from a turnip (or sometimes pumpkins used now) with candles in it – remember spirits love candles so always put a divine intent into the candle you are lighting. Children always love this bit too! Its important to explain what Halloween is so they don’t forget there is a special meaning behind it.
· Your own ideas – go skinny dipping as it’s a magical time of year! Dance in the rain and let yourself get totally soaked with a few friends – its great fun, trust us, we did it last month!
What ever you decide to do enjoy it and may the true magic of Samhain touch your heart and bless all your Ancestors. Aho.
